More than 690 athletes and 100 Unified Partners from across the state competed in six sports — aquatics, bocce, powerlifting, softball, tennis, and track and field. In addition, Young Athletes demonstrations involving children ages 2-7 took place Friday morning in the pool and on the track. More than 160 coaches provided training in preparation for the competition and over 1,000 volunteers from the community and corporate/venue sponsors help make this event possible. In addition to competing, athletes had the opportunity to visit Olympic Village and Healthy Athletes where they participate in fun, educational, and health-related activities. We wish to extend a heart-felt "thank you" for all the hard work of all our coaches, volunteers, sponsors, supporters, family members, and to Delaware Law Enforcement for helping to make a difference in the lives of our athletes.
