WINTER
GAMES
Winter Games athletes were busy
training from fall through winter to
learn skills, test endurance, get fit,
and most important - to have fun!
Special Olympics Delaware athletes
who were part of the Nordic and
Snowshoe Ski teams trained since
November, culminating in their
final competition at Seven Springs
Resort as part of Special Olympics
Pennsylvania's Winter Games on
January 28-30, 2018. Figure Skaters
competed at Special Olympic
Pennsylvania's Indoor Winter Games
in York, PA on March 10, 2018.
Unfortunately the event was cancelled
(due to a lack of snow) for SODE
athletes who were participating in
Alpine Skiing at the Special Olympics
Maryland Winter Games held in
Mercersburg, PA.
A very big note of thanks to all the
coaches and volunteers who helped
our athletes during the entire season!
