The festival offers family-friendly fun, involving downtown Rehoboth businesses which offer discounted menus and shopping, as well as children's activities. The 5K Run to the Plunge gives families and Plunge participants another event to rally around, and is the perfect way for people of all ages and abilities to support the Weekend Festival. The event also featured Sand Sculpting by local artists, Andrew West Darrell O'Connor, Marc Schaffer and Heather Williams, an annual Restaurant Chili Contest, Fire and Ice (hot wings and ice cream sampling), and an Ice Carving demonstration on the boardwalk.
