Burns, ran an In- dian trading company in Los An- geles after the turn of the century and his shop quickly became the source for authentic Native Ameri- can costumes that dominated the early film industry. Now located in a massive facility in North Hollywood, the inventory continues to grow. Recently, the company acquired the 10,000 pieces of the men's collection from Amalgamated Costume and Design, which will be available by the end of January. Between all the shops there are dozens of custom-made members at any given time in the facil- ity. Jack Kasbarian is master head tailor in men's custom-made; Jose Bellow and Nancy Arroyo work the women's custom-made depart- ment.
