he Life Achievement Award is
presented to members who have
not only mastered their craft,
but have also devoted their lives
to activism and philanthropy.
This year, the union's highest honor goes to
Alan Alda, the 55th Lifetime Achievement
recipient. The honoree is selected by the
Honors and Tributes Committee, which spent
months narrowing down the field. Alda joins
a long list of distinguished and deserving
honorees.
"Alan Alda was an easy choice for us. Not
only is he an iconic and beloved actor, but a
man much admired for his philanthropic and
humanitarian works," said Committee Chair
Jenny O'Hara.
