H E A T H E R S | P E R S P E C T I V E 9 9 The first three episodes would be block-shot with all of the permanent sets in place, and there were just six weeks of preproduction. Leslye Headland, the director and producer of the pilot, would be shooting all three of these episodes. Production had already acquired the stage and office space from the recently wrapped Teen Wolf series, whose standing sets provided the skeletal base for Heathers' ten episodes. The pilot had been shot entirely on location, so additional pages would need to be shot on the new permanent sets to supplement what was already in the can, as well as upcoming episodes. Starting with the stripped- down Teen Wolf sets made it possible to meet the ambitious six-week preproduction schedule. All of the existing sets would be redesigned, extended, augmented and refinished, in addition to building new permanent and swing sets.
