In fact, we're proud of all the effort the hair team put in. Black Panther has been called 'a love letter to black hair.' We were tasked with creating looks that honored the African traditions, but that reflect the advanced society of Wakanda, a diverse and proud society. What an experience to contribute to this land- mark film. I would like to especially thank my incredibly hardworking and ultra-talented hair team of Jaime Leigh McIntosh (key), Louisa V. Anthony, Deidra Dixon and Nikki Wright from Local 706. In addition, Maurice Beaman, Katrina Goodwin, Victor Paz and, as always, Khanh Trance, our talented FX wig- maker. There are dozens of uncredited hair stylists who worked so hard to make this production something to be proud of for decades to come, coordinated by Cynthia Chapman. • G etting the call from filmmaker Ryan Coogler to do the make-up on Black Panther was, to say the least, one of the highlights of my career, and I've had a very blessed and exciting career so far.
