For Members 24 SAG-AFTRA | Fall 2018 | sagaftra.org THIS NEW YEAR, BE URGENT CARE PREPARED W hen an urgent health care need arises, be ready and know your options. Emergency room visits can take hours and bring the added pain of unexpected out-of-pocket costs. The SAG-AFTRA Health Plan wants to remind all SAG-AFTRA members that before the need becomes urgent, check out urgent care centers in your area. Most offer excellent minor injury and illness care such as: • Sprains, strains and broken bones (X-ray onsite). • Cuts that may need stitches or repair. • Complications from asthma, diabetes or infections. • Abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting and other flu-like symptoms. As an added benefit to you and your family, most urgent care facilities have much shorter wait times, and your out- of-pocket costs will typically be lower than if you visit an emergency room. For added convenience, SAG-AFTRA members can access a doctor's care at their fingertips using LiveHealth Online. With LiveHealth Online, you can have: • A face-to-face visit on your phone, tablet or desktop device. • Prescriptions such as short-term antibiotics from the physician if needed. It will be available beginning Jan. 1, 2019, and anyone can sign up, but SAG-AFTRA health plan participants will have a co-pay of $25 as an in-network benefit ($49 without insurance) and your existing benefits will apply. Best of all, LiveHealth doctors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. To register and access LiveHealth, go to livehealthonline.com and follow the simple instructions. You will be face-to- face with your new doctor in less than five minutes.
