PHOTO: ALEXANDER RUBIN Overdelivering at All Levels Black Stallion's three wine tiers offer something for every guest and account. Its portfolio of Heritage wines all have suggested retail prices under $30, and despite their low price points, their high quality makes them perfect additions to by-the-glass programs. Black Stallion Estate Winery 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Cherry vanilla goes deep, creating a perfume that shifts gears from fruity to sweet and back. On the palate, the acidity is quite distinct, bringing a fresh, vibrant mouthfeel to a crescendo of flavor. Cranberry is tart midway with plum skin and a hint of salinity. The Stallion leaps to an intense juiciness that lasts through the long finish. 94 —Meridith May
