PHOTO COURTESEY VOLI LIGHT VODKAS Star Power Sustainability in the Family A s an owner in the Voli Vodka brand, Fergie is more than just a igurehead. The songstress , joined by Voli CEO Adam Kamenstein, stopped by Extra to demonstrate the vodka's mixability to consumers, making her a true activist for the brand. W hen we caught up with John Terlato at THE TASTING PANEL's Craft Spirit Bar following the premiere of SOMM at the Napa Valley Film Festival, sustainability was the word on everybody's lips. Explained the Vice Chairman of Terlato Wines and son of the legendary Tony Terlato, sustainability is a two-pronged system, encompassing not only sustainability in the vineyards but also within the Terlato family itself. "We are a family-owned and -operated business, and as such, we rely on the youthfulness, intelligence and diligence of the Terlato family, generation after generation." With his own children now involved in the company, the Terlato family reinforces and reinvents itself with each new generation to join the ranks. "Our family sees the business as an opportunity to add a new level and grow the company year after year," explains John, "and that makes our business more sustainable."
