The Art Department worked carefully with Chung Hoon and Drew to blend those locations seamlessly. The Nurse and Honolulu go through the lobby of the Cecil Hotel to its front door, but step out of an office building into that riot shot on South Main Street. Only one door unit was built to blend the two; the shot planning made it work. The key to the entire movie was the small but mighty ethos, every person applying multiple skills, good humor and astounding dedication to bring Drew's ideas to life. Maybe there was (almost) no money, but teamwork from the whole production staff brought forth a world where great actors created great characters surviving (or not) one great night of mayhem in LA.
