A N T - M A N A N D T H E W A S P | P E R S P E C T I V E 3 3 Ant-Man and the Wasp was an incredibly rewarding film to design, as well as a highlight of my career. Having done several projects of varying scales at Marvel over the years, this experience stands out by virtue of the community put together to make the film and the goals we accomplished. The film is a visual journey that spans genres, time periods and scale. Ant-Man and the Wasp travels from the visually gritty urban in-between spaces of San Francisco, the incredibly textured and disorienting macro world, and through the dizzying landscapes of the quantum realm. The film's backdrops mirror the rich and complex emotional journey of day-to-day life, love and family, and the lengths one must go to keep and fight for what they believe in. Tying together locations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, San Francisco, Oahu, Hawaii, and Buenos Aires to the many interiors built on location or on stage at Pinewood Studios, Georgia comes with the territory of working on films these days. The results are thrilling and a tribute to the carefully orchestrated planning and effort that went into making this a seamless connection. A.
